Soul Zudem wurde das Weihnachts­geschäft von den neuen Konsolen der Konkurrenz­ beherrscht­: Im November brachte Sony die Playstatio­n 4 auf den Markt und Microsoft die Xbox One. Nach bisherigen­ Zahlen hatte Sony in den ersten Wochen die Nase vorn: Sony verkaufte bis Jahresende­ 4,2 Millionen Geräte und Microsoft kam auf gut drei Millionen.­ Allerdings­ gab es bei beiden Konsolen zeitweise Engpässe im Handel.
