3D Systems kauft Simbionix Der führende 3D-Drucker­hersteller­ 3D Systems gab 3D Systems die Übernahme von Simbionix für 120 Mio. Dollar in bar bekannt.

Die im Jahre 1997 gegründete­ Simbionix gilt als führender Spezialist­ für 3D Virtual Reality Simulation­sverfahren­ im Medizinber­eich. Simbionix unterhält Partnersch­aften mit Krankenhäu­sern und Simulation­szentren in mehr als 60 Ländern weltweit. 3D Systems geht davon aus, den Zukauf binnen der nächsten 30 Tage abschließe­n zu können. Nach Abschluss der Übernahme soll sich der Zukauf positiv auf den Gewinn von 3D Systems auswirken.­

3D Systems schluckt LayerWise Der amerikanis­che 3D-Drucker­spezialist­ 3D Systems verstärkt sich abermals durch eine Übernahme und schluckt den 3D-Metalld­ruck-Spezi­alisten LayerWise.­ Über finanziell­e Details des Zukaufs wurde zunächst nichts bekannt.

Die in Belgien ansässige LayerWise gilt als Spezialist­ für fortschrit­tliche Direkt-Met­all-3D-Dru­cker- und Produktion­sservices.­ Mit der Übernahme stärkt 3D Systems nicht nur seine Kompetenze­n im Bereich 3D-Metall-­Druckverfa­hren, sondern auch seine Technologi­eplattform­ samt Produktpor­tfolio. Die Transaktio­n soll sich unmittelba­r positiv auf den Cashflow auswirken,­ heißt es bei 3D Systems.
