MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA (AFX) - Handspring Inc said it has begun selling its new Treo mobile phone and handheld computer over its website.
The new device, which will sell for 400 usd when purchased with a one-year contract with Sprint PCS, will be available in retail outlets in March.
Handspring is hoping strong sales of the new device will help it move into profit.
The release comes after the company warned last month that a production glitch would delay Treo's launch.
