The Metals Report Interview with Chris Berry July 30, 2013

"Companies in the REE space that can achieve positive catalysts should reap share price gains and Tasman is one such example. . .Tasman, which I visited recently, has received its mining lease at Nora Karr that will be in effect for 25 years. The company also recently received a permit for test mining on site. This will allow the company to further the metallurgical studies and get a handle on potential costs. Additionally, Tasman received funding from the European Commission through the EURARE project to conduct processing and metallurgical research on Nora Karr and another Tasman project known as Olserum. There were apparently only four projects selected for funding here, so acknowledgement of these projects' significance is a positive long-term catalyst for Tasman."

"The Mining Report"- Interview mit Luisa Moreno Source: Brian Sylvester of The Mining Report  (1/28/14)

http://www.theaureport.com/pub/na/...-minerals-sector-is-here-to-stay

The Mining Report: "Do you have other companies with Speculative Buy ratings that you would like to talk about?"

Luisa Moreno: "We cover Tasman Metals Ltd. (TSM:TSX.V; TAS:NYSE.MKT; TASXF.OTCPK; T61:FSE). Tasman operates in Sweden. We have a Speculative Buy recommendation and $1.70/share target price. Eudialyte is also the main mineral at its Norra Kärr deposit. If Matamec can develop an economic process, it will be highly positive for Tasman as well. Infrastructure around the Norra Kärr deposit is very good.

Tasman plans to merge with Flinders Resources Ltd. (FDR:TSX.V), a company with an advanced graphite project in Sweden. Tasman's strategy is to become a diversified industrial minerals company. It already has a REE deposit and a tungsten deposit; it will have a graphite deposit after the merger. The stock performed well after the announcement of the merger negotiations."

TMR: "Does the merger make Tasman more or less attractive to investors?"

LM: "More attractive—I think the stock's good performance indicates that. It seems that the market sees a diversified portfolio of REEs, graphite and tungsten as a positive. A business combination with Flinders may be seen as a liquidity merger, as Flinders is relatively well cashed at the moment. The merger will strengthen the combined company's balance sheet."

TMR: "Is it likely that Tasman will be the name of the new entity?"

LM: "Yes. The surviving company is going to be Tasman. Flinders will cease to exist."

Expert Comments Christopher Ecclestone, Hallgarten & Co(2/5/14)

"Tasman Metals Ltd. has taken the opportunity of the relative strength of graphite to merge with another company in its corporate grouping (Flinders Resources Ltd., one of our model mining portfolio constituents) to corral all the cash into one place and run with two projects at once in the same country. This is an admirable facing of reality. Eventually the cash flow from graphite start-up (which is near to production) will get the rare earth element project onto its feet."

The Mining Report Interview with Ryan Castilloux(2/11/14)

"Tasman Metals Ltd.'s Norra Kärr project in Sweden is a project that can cover a major portion of operating costs and payback capital using revenue from byproducts alone. Tasman's Norra Kärr project is a very promising contender. In fact, it's ranked first in our development-stage ranking. Norra Kärr is also a polymetallic, HREE-rich deposit that offers a profit margin healthy enough to endure future price volatility. Based on its PEA, preproduction capex is low, and operating costs will be among the lowest in the sector. Affirming these costs through feasibility studies and arranging toll separation or offtake agreements are the key next steps for Norra Kärr."

"Size Does Matter in Rare Earth Mining" - Christopher Ecclestone

Monday February 24, 2014, 4:30am PST

By Vivien Diniz - Exclusive to Rare Earth Investing News
http://rareearthinvestingnews.com/...rth-mining-size-does-matter.html

Auszug:

Back in 2009 and 2010, there was nary a rare earth conference in the world that didn’t headline without Tasman Metals (TSXV:TSM). Despite being relatively quiet in the last few years, the company has been making headlines recently, and Ecclestone sees it as being very strategic in the grand scheme of things.

“They’re merging with Flinders Resources (TSXV:FDR) (a graphite development company working out of Sweden), and I think they are serious people because Tasman is a serious company. They sort of merging together both their interest in Sweden to transfer cash, equities and bonds between the two, which in the current environment is probably the best strategy,” he said.

The Mining Report Interview with Kiril Mugerman March 4, 2014

"Tasman Metals Ltd. has the Norra Kärr REE project in Sweden. Last December, the company announced its intention to merge with Flinders Resources Ltd., which has the Woxna graphite project in Sweden (scheduled to begin annual production of 10K tons in Q3/14). . .having a combination of different industrial minerals, such as rare earths, graphite, tungsten and vanadium, is a good thing, in our opinion. The tricky part is getting started with one mineral, generating cash flow and then diversifying into other minerals, thus becoming a diversified industrial minerals company. Should Tasman and Flinders merge, they might be able to achieve this."
